Event Suggestion : Sim Wide RP Ball

And interesting event Idea cam up today between me and Nezvig Shoreman, about throwing a ball for the people of Hyrule. I wanted to run this by you guys and see what you guys thought. Perhaps this could be a good way for entry into the sim itself for a lot of RPers, and perhaps a bad guy or two to make an appearance.

This sounds quite feasible.. i'm sure there are some who would enjoy a nice formal get together

Ball is about perfect. The last attempt didn't even go well, and it'd give Saria an excuse to dress up for once.

OH OH! A BALL! sounds good. But who to go as.... hmm... Nyoko or Kaiba...

Anyways, it does sound like a good introductory event. Just have at least one thing planned ahead to get things stirred up just in case no one else comes planning anything right off the top!

I'm in no way intending on this to just suddenly crop up. I want to make sure this is all planned out nice an neatly. Perhaps have a "group of mistrals" playing music and stuff. SO Here is a list of things we need

> A Venue
> Staff to "Host" The event.
> Advertisements for the event around the sim.
> Planning with Key Even RPer's about this, Such as villains who might or might not crash the party.
> Decoration.

On a side note. Now that the Castle is no longer JUST a museum as it looks. What about a Rebuild to make it more Castle Like. With rooms and everything? Just saying.

I like the museum look but it is an outdated model unsuited for roleplay. The only trouble is changing this also effectively messes with the skulltula hunt. do we end that or change it around?

The ball doesn't necessarily have to be held at the museum castle. Tent it up outside? Zora Ball? Goron Ball? etc... The museum probably couldn't hurt from a touch up, but I wouldn't go mad with it right now when other builds are still going on in the sim. The museum itself shouldn't be updated just because of the RP event...

Well like I said, The Castle was a side note. Temple of time really isn't the Ideal place for a "party" ya know. But yea, Perhaps a tent on the Castle Grounds, Made look nice and all. But still. We need to start gathering stuff.

A ball in the castle sounds fun! I need to find myself a nice suit, something fit for a Hylian.

As for minstrels, has Kume finished his playable instruments? I for one am itching for one of his violins, and his instruments may be usable for some music, at least for RP or to hear some Zelda music clips at a ball

Kume to my knowledge has been wondering where you were to donate stuff to you. We've all been waiting patiently (though myself a bit less than so... didn't know the conditions you were gone on) and hoping you'll be able to finish work on the bits and pieces of the system we'd like.

Fantastic! We'd planned on incorporating some ZRCS functionality into his instruments, which already had every feature I wanted to create and more. I'll hit him up later and begin my part of the work. Along with the other requested ZRCS stuff.

I'll also be sure to be a little more clear about my whereabouts when I have to go like that. I changed my profile at the last minute to "announce" my absence, but I can't even remember what I said, or how clear it was. It sure wasn't telegraphed very far.

Remember, we as staff have power to announce things in Historians, and extended absences where we won't be reached count as valid reasons to send out notices.

I realize this topic is nearly a month old, but is this ball still being planned? It sounds like a great idea that I'd love to see happen. Can't believe no one mentioned this to me in the Group chat when I voiced my contest idea.
